At Online Bargains for replacing reader Johann Smith's uninsured new Samsung S3, which was stolen en route to his home over Christmas (Power Report, February 3). The online merchant was under no obligation to Smith, but wanted a happy ending to a sorry tale. Hats off.
An iPhone 6 was sold on Bidorbuy for R16,499 today, 16 September 2014 – three days before Apple starts shipping the device in its first wave of launch countries.
The Bidorbuy seller, who goes under the user name onlinebargains, listed ten units of Apple’s 16GB iPhone 6.
The seller stated that buyers will still have to wait until 25 September to get their hands on the device.
“First iPhone 6 already sold on @bidorbuy_co_za, albeit at a hefty premium. Some just got to have it now”, said bidorbuy CEO Jaco Jonker.
